Get Venture

Down Jump to Comments

I recently had the pleasure of chatting with Mark Peter Davis regarding his new blog called Get Venture. Not only is Mark a great guy but his blog is full of great insights for entrepreneurs looking to put their best foot forward with VCs.

I especially like the post entitled PPT Presentations are Not Executive Summaries. Mark hit the nail on the head with this one. For some reason, we have become some sort of slave to PowerPoint, looking to it to solve our problems of spreading the gospel.

I can’t tell you the number of Executive Summaries or Pitches I have received via PowerPoint… usually my first impression is that I’m not impressed and hence the relationship does not start up with a wow.

So like Mark says, use “an executive summary that is in sentence/paragraph form”.
